Romantic starlite nights, rolling waves on the long shoreline and endless romance
and historic adventure await you in Cancun.
A land of mysterious lagoons and ivory sands, Cancun was once home to the ancient
Mayan tribes who lived throughout South and Central America. In fact, the name of
the island derives from Cancuen, sometimes spelled Cancu’en – a snake totem pole.
The plumed and feathered serpent gods were extremely powerful deities in both Mayan
and Aztec histories. There are romantic ocean view restaurants throughout Cancun
and some exciting excurisons to the various Myan ruins in the Yucutan that may require
a jungle bus trip or guide, but something you will never forget.
Tips for the beach. You are close to the equator, take it slowly, eat light the
first few days and bring cottons, sun block and sun glasses......plus hats. Enjoy!
