1999-2000 BRIDAL SHOWS AND PLANNING EVENTS Wine Country and North Bay "The Next Best Thing" by Judith Rivers So often brides ask me, "Is it important to go to a wedding show?" The answer is yes!!!!! Absolutely!! Meeting the wedding professional for a brief time will often give you the indication of whether you want to spend more time with them discussing how they can help you with your wedding. Just the decor, booths, and festivities, prize drawings make this an "up" and great educational environment. It often generates the enthusiasm to get going on your plans. Making phone calls and hiring out of the telephone phone book is dangerous......meeting a bridal professional at a bridal show looking them in the eye, looking at their work and pricing, evaluating their character, then deciding if you want to call them later......is the next best thing to a personal referral or a recommendation from a quality book. It is your evaluation of their professionalism which counts - how your personalities click. The Bridal Show is a great place to begin bringing that information together into your decision-making formula. You can achieve great information on most areas of the wedding. Often guidance plan publications are offered. You may learn new trends, see new floral arrangements, gowns, formal wear, and gain education of the correct questions needed as you hire. There are all sizes of shows available. The smaller more intimate show often gives you more time to speak with the vendors......while the large shows allow you to enjoy a larger variety of businesses. They both are great! HAVE FUN.
